Job Description

What you will do
Responsible for the prompt and accurate processing, payment and accounting of all vendor invoices consistent with company policy and procedure; research and resolve open issues with suppliers and the Purchasing group. Serve as company’s expense report auditor.

Location: Rockville, MD office

First Shift, Monday-Friday

Eligible for benefits on first day of employment

Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation per calendar year

How you will do it
1. Perform the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function for JCFS and its wholly owned subsidiaries. Prepare, enter, and review vendor invoices and expense reports to ensure that they are properly coded, approved and in compliance with government and company policies;
2. Interface with suppliers, purchasing, field project managers, employees and internal finance team to address and resolve inquiries or issues;
3. Perform the AP month-end and year-end closings tasks including preparing accruals for PO commitments and various expenses. Effectively work in a deadline driven environment.
4. Have a good understanding of the sales & use tax process as it relates to AP.
5. Provides general accounting services to the Accounting team as needed.

6. Supports general administrative work at teams including, but not limited to, filing, scanning, etc

What we look for
1. Three (3) or more years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably with a government contractor.
2. Strong organization skills, ability to work efficiently in a high volume environment, analytical, and communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

1. Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field.
2. Deltek Costpoint or GCS experience.
3. Expense reimbursement experience with reviewing of expense reports
4. Experience working with purchase orders
