DESCRIPTION

As part of the Regional sales team the Business Development Managers (“BDM”) are responsible for driving revenue growth in their respective Regions. BDMs are responsible for executing National strategic and tactical initiatives, Regional product foci, and additional Regional priorities.
Product and Business Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of the Firm’s entire suite of products and tools

‒ Ability to accurately and effectively position each of the major product capabilities against suitable client need and where necessary refer Advisor inquiry to the right internal partner

  • Deeper specific knowledge of platforms/tools supporting the key National initiatives and the specific Regional priorities
Accountability and Execution:
  • Delivery of initiatives to the Branch office and Advisor in a variety of methods:

‒ Desk-to-desk rollout of key initiatives

‒ Deep dive book reviews and segmentation

‒ Tactical campaigns

‒ Procurement and facilitation of outside resources

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Financial Advisor (with satisfactory production and compliance record), or comparable product area or management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
Licenses and Registrations:
  • Active Series 7, and 66 (or 63 and 65) registrations
  • Other licenses as required for role or by management

About the Role

Your focus will include:

  • Sourcing new IT equipment vendors /suppliers to perform deployment services for and to dispose of their redundant equipment
  • Working with existing IT equipment vendors/suppliers on their IT deployment requirements and disposal of their redundant equipment
  • Working with existing and new leasing companies, financial institutions, hospitals etc to communicate the value proposition and generate new business
  • Looking for new opportunities for the business outside of the standard business.
  • Take a leadership role in commercial negotiations with key customers
  • Promoting brand and product awareness with promotional activities
  • Executing ad-hoc projects or activities as required

About You

  • Professional sales background having sold IT services into tier 1 clients
  • Experience selling into financial institutions and/or hospitals
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Business Development Manager:

As Business Development Manager in one of the fastest-growing divisions of our company, you will drive business with our Agency partners across all of ODC’s (Oracle Data Cloud) major products, including digital audiences, media and measurement solutions, DMP, Moat, and Grapeshot’s suite of context capabilities. Oracle provides a comprehensive and unified data solution to drive prospecting at scale, audience insights, and cross–channel marketing actions, and we are now partnering more and more deeply with Agencies to help them utilize these assets to drive ROI for their clients.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for cultivating relationships and negotiating with our Agency partners. As part of this role, you will perform market analyses to identify new strategic business opportunities and work closely with teams such as Legal, Deal Solutions, Finance, and Product to scope and implement these solutions. Specifically, as these deeper Agency partnerships are stood up and evolve, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who can solve complex business, organizational, and industry problems for our highest priority Agency partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand Oracle’s full suite of products and provide input on enhancements required for the Agency ecosystem
  • Identify business opportunities with Agencies and strategize with the team on the best way to structure each partnership (e.g. commercials and product positioning, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for consistency and scalability across Agency partnerships
  • Create frameworks to drive revenue across Agency partnerships
  • Own strategic projects that have the greatest impact for ODC and our Agency partners

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience managing and negotiating with partnerships
  • Experience working in the technology industry; experience with or within an Advertising Agency a plus
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with the ability to lead client presentations and negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, stay focused, work in teams, be flexible, and keep a level head within a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to effectively manage up and out to proactively ensure key stakeholders are up to speed
  • Always solutions driven – identifying a problem is not enough
  • Adept at navigating a complex marketplace and organization
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Technical understanding of data, analytics, measurement, context, DMP
  • Deep understanding of general marketing practices, targeting practices, and online media
  • Advanced knowledge of online advertising techniques
  • Travel as needed, up to 30%
  • BA/BS required

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs “go-to-market” plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.

A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product*s sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle’s sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle’s products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 – 7 years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management preferred. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for solving business problems using technology and applications. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with multiple colleagues in a team selling environment. Business and account planning implementation experience. Conversant in Oracle technology and product strategies. Strong executive selling skills as well as a demonstrated success in establishing and developing client relationships. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel. BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Manages a team of telesales business development representatives for a territory/region. Provides daily operations management of inbound and outbound call response and lead qualification functions. Creates product, sales, and business function training programs. Coordinates marketing (direct mail, advertising, etc.) activities with Marketing organizations. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Experience qualifying prospects and customers and an understanding of the sales cycle process. Experience training professional sales staff, University degree in Business or equivalent. Previous management experience. Successful sales track record. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred 5 years sales experience.

What you’ll do

The Enterprise solution business development manager will lead the commercial discussion with the key customer on our overall enterprise solution offering in the cell and gene therapy area, primarily in assigned territory, but also support in the global scope to strategically develop both offerings and proposals. By expertly navigating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (product, engineering, operations and commercial teams as well as key technical partners) at both management and engineering levels

Work very closely with the internal teams taking a senior role in driving the depth commercial discussions with customers in gene and cell therapy manufacturing process design decisions support in the local and regional markets.

Work closely with product management team and marketing team to brainstorm/establish/execute in lead generating process/actions

Fully responsible in build sales funnel in Process development, ES trainings and service solutions

Understand and guide customer process economy decisions leveraging modern technical solutions based on Cytiva´s Enterprise Solutions offering.

Specifically focus on supporting account managers with strategic customer opportunities as well as the offering development team with specific input to proposals, sometimes owning the proposal development for strategic customers.

Direct communicate and collaborate both locally and globally both with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong contributor in Request For Proposal (RFP) bid process proposal coordination

Drive local understanding of the process development through internal service capabilities and external collaborative network, also drive awareness in established configurable design space for a standard offering FlexFactory process including collaboration with hardware and consumables product management, quality and R&D to assemble bill of materials and costing for each offering package.

Support with equipment and project forecasting in the local and regional market..

Support the marketing teams with the development of marketing materials to clearly and effectively communicate the Enterprise solution offering value proposition to local and regional customers

Increase local competitiveness of the Enterprise Solution offering, identifying gaps in offering and strengthen offering positioning including a knowledge of new technologies

Work with the Evaluation & Offering team to develop pricing and costing models that ensure margins in line with approved business targets.

Supporting the sales team in translating customer needs in highly customized offerings

Drive awareness and promotion internally of the overall enterprise solution and process development brand awareness locally and regionally

Who you are

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field

5-8+ years’ experience in life science, product development, or related field

Strong manufacturing and engineering knowledge including quality and regulatory understanding (preferable)

Excellent understanding of Cytiva products, intended use and process capability

Excellent client relationships and management experience at the senior customer level.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

Strong project management skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a matrix environment

10-15+ years’ experience in engineering/biopharma/Life Sciences

Product Management/Offering/Large deals expertise

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Assist in aggressively growing the business over the next three years

Build a funnel through strategic gap analysis and adjacent market work

Manage cross-functional due diligence teams with a hands-on, team-oriented approach

Lead and implement process management, deal structure, negotiations, and closing deals

The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Engineering with 14+ yrs. experience or advanced degree with 12+ yrs. experience
