Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.

Department Profile
Capital Markets & Core Processing Operations (CMCP) aligns to the Capital Markets desk. This group supports the movement of client assets in and out of the firm, provides asset servicing for our clients as well as front to back trade support all the way through to clearance & settlement. Each group’s primary focus is to provide quality service to their business partners and Financial Advisors while mitigating the Firm’s risk and exposure. The areas that make up this group are: Trade Support (Equity, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and Precious Metals), Settlements, Asset Servicing, and Account Transfers.

The team is responsible for:
The FX/GC Wires and Journals Utility Team supports activity on the FX Platform, the Global Currency product and all incoming and outgoing wire and journal activity related to FX and Global Currency for Wealth Management. Global Currency is a banking services platform which allows clients to hold foreign currency deposits directly through a brokerage account. The Team journals are booked to reflect incoming funds and certain operational activity. The Team also supports the funding for International Settlements currency trades and Corporate Action Income Payables.

Foreign currency incoming wires are processed to support the settlement of FX/GC Trading, International Settlements and Corporate Actions funding, Client requests (exceptions) and Bank to Bank . All incoming wires notifications are submitted via Case Management and email from various areas of the firm, primarily from OPS area we support and Financial Advisors. Incoming wires are processed and approved in JAWS or JEMS manually and electronically.

The FX/GC Wires and Journals Utility Team will process a wide variety of activities that cover the full life cycle of incoming and outgoing wires and Journals, including interaction with the TSS FX, TSS Futures and our Financial Advisors. They interact with both internal and external clients around settlements which are time sensitive because of the Global currency movements we support daily.

They monitor and address exceptions same day and T+1 and greater. In addition, they will perform a variety of reconciliation tasks associated with our Books and Records to ensure Clients accounts are accurate.

Duties will vary but will generally focus on the following: identification and resolution of discrepancies; break reconciliation; timely currency settlements; corrections/adjustments; and responding to inquiries made by the Financial Advisors, Agent, Fraud Department, or Internal Teams across the Firm. Ownership of certain processing task including analyze, identify, and resolve breaks timely. Communicate and escalate aged or large breaks to senior management with a proposed solution. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a focus on identification of process improvement opportunities. In addition, they should also display the ability to develop a productive working relationship with IT partners to ensure success in the introduction of new enhancements.
