Please review the following job description:

Truist’s Corporate Finance team partners with the Commercial Community Bank to originate, structure and execute on leveraged finance transactions. Deal types include acquisitions, recapitalizations, dividends, buyouts and ESOP related financings. Focus is on privately held businesses and Private Equity backed transactions across all industries.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Idea generation around strategic capital alternatives including transaction structuring, analysis, screening and proposal
  • Complex financial modeling including merger modeling, leveraged buyout and debt capacity analysis, including sensitizing / stress testing
  • Perform detailed transaction due diligence and evaluation of key credit metrics
  • Marketing material development, preparation and review
  • Conduct industry / market specific research and analysis to support credit evaluation and content creation
  • Develop foundational knowledge of loan documentation and review
  • Perform transaction profitability analysis utilizing internal pricing models
  • Track opportunity pipeline / calling activity utilizing CRM system

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program
  • Competitive drive and high work ethic, self-starter, team oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of adaptability and flexibility with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum GPA: 3.5
  • Prior work experience in investment banking, credit, underwriting or risk management
