Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for students who seek to gain practical experience in collections care. Successful candidates will work with the collections manager to complete Phase II of an ongoing comprehensive inventory of the museum’s Permanent Collection. Interns will work extensively with the collections database system, PastPerfect by inputting data collected from the inventory. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist with exhibition installation and care of the permanent collection including cataloging and storage.

While the program is geared toward current students at the junior or senior level of a university program, any interested person is encouraged to apply. An ideal candidate should be a good speller and accurate typist. Experience with PastPerfect is preferred but not required.

This internship is non-paying, in-person internship, and it requires a minimum of 150 hours for completion, generally completed 12-15 hours per week.
