The position will be responsible for all aspects of credit and risk management within the Southern California Region of Commercial Term Lending (CTL) within the Multifamily Lending market. He/she will be responsible for managing a team of underwriters and analysts and for performance management.
Structure, underwrite, and approve a broad range of transactions with particular focus on smaller loans.
In-depth knowledge of CRE markets conditions; monitor market and economic conditions for the area core markets.
Responsibility to make timely and prudent credit decisions in a high volume environment
A close partnership with CTL business partners and other CRE leaders.
Proven leadership skills with excellent organization and communication skills
Proactively monitor the credit quality of the portfolio and partner with the PM team to make timely risk rating changes.
Respond to questions and information requests from internal and external auditors and examiners.
Implement and comply to risk policies and other policies and procedures.
BA/BBA/BS/MBA and possess a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate lending. Specific expertise in Multifamily Lending.
Demonstrated record of sound, independent credit judgment and institutional credibility.
Proven management experience, including demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach and motivate a team of individuals who are at varying levels of development and experience.
Outstanding analytical, technical, problem-solving skills; significant understanding and working knowledge of structuring and legal issues related to secured and unsecured lending.
Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
