Job Description

J.P. Morgan Chase’s Commercial Real Estate Banking businesses include Commercial Term Lending, Real Estate Banking, and Community Development Banking. CRE serves a diverse set of clients, from individual CRE owners and investors to large sophisticated corporate CRE clients with broad banking relationship needs, to community development organizations that invest in the development of affordable housing and economic development projects. We provide CRE clients the financial resources they need for projects large and small through a hands-on, local-market approach, ensuring efficiency and certainty of execution in any cycle. We also connect CRE clients to the resources, expertise and comprehensive lineup of products and services from across the firm.

Position: Business Management Associate position represents an exciting opportunity to drive change in a rapidly evolving CRE space, and to join an exceptional and well-respected team at an industry leading organization.
CRE Management Team Responsibilities

  • Drive business strategy and growth
  • Manage business risks
  • Optimize business performance and planning

Role of the Business Management Associate

  • Establish business strategy, working with product executives
  • Drive CRE initiatives to execute the business strategy
  • Create business cases for new products, markets, or client segments
  • Prepare for business reviews with CRE, Treasury Services and Commercial Bank executives

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Superior strategic/break-through thinking and problem solving abilities
  • 3+ years professional experience in a commercial real estate lending, treasury services, or management consulting
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to take a concept and produce slides that convey the message in an aesthetically simple manner suitable for executive management consumption
  • Exceptional logical writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply
  • Excellent influence skills, including ability to work effectively across a large organization, execute projects, and build and manage cross-functional relationships
  • Strong project management abilities, including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously
