General Summary….
The Analyst, Data II is part of a team that shares the responsibility for success and profitability by providing services to our customers which may include: data warehousing, post audits, reporting, carrier bids management, dashboard creation, project management, transportation analysis, application mastery, consulting support, and data analysis. The Data Analyst works with customers, carriers, and internal employees to analyze and identify cost saving opportunities for customers.
This position will be responsible for…..
  • Manage data gathering for customers’ benchmark key performance metrics.
  • Create a strategic approach to carrier bids through lane, mode, and service balancing (Bid team) by performing the following tasks: Scorecard and performance tracking, transportation dashboard, on-going analysis of data.
  • Determine the best mode, carrier, and service for the customer, resulting in customer savings by providing the analysis and metrics for transportation bids.
  • Use professional judgment to assess the impact of decisions/actions on the customer and the Company which would be approved by both the customer and the person’s leader.
  • Act as an internal technical resource for role specific applications.
  • Analyze large amounts of data and then recommend broad based innovative improvement initiatives for customer(s).
  • Reporting and analyzing on an ad hoc basis for the customer.
  • Develop customer presentations showing data trends and possible solutions to the customer. Collaborate with the objective of agreeing to the most effective and profitable solution for the customer, carrier, and the Company.
  • Developing standard operating procedures based on the direction from manager.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Accounting/Finance or related field preferred and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient with technology, specifically Microsoft applications such as Access and Excel.
  • Experience with SQL is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal and external customers.
  • Experience or knowledge in transportation, logistics, parcel shipping or freight pay is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description

    Position Purpose:

  • Analyze health management programs including: data collection, validation and outcome measurement. May include:

    Bachelor’s degree related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience or 1+ years of related IT experience, including data warehouse, coding or ETL experience. Advanced knowledge of Microstrategy, SQL, and Microsoft Applications, including Excel and Access.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Analytics professional to help support our growing information systems. This position is responsible for managing end-user data systems associated with clinical, financial, operational and demographic databases of the organization for the purpose of supporting management decision making and reporting. This position is highly collaborative, working across all levels of the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Database Server Management: performance, integrity, and security
  • Responsible for maintaining data warehouse, ETL, exchanges, and other integrations
  • Design and develop data and statistical models
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting systems
  • Develop financial, operational, and clinical quality metrics
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Mentor and share knowledge when applicable
  • Develop end-user reports and/or support end-user requests for data

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Personal commitment to the organizations mission and values
  • Ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365
  • Proficiency in the use of SQL, SSMS, Visual Studio, Tableau or other BI software, Crystal Reports, other specialized software, and/or related storage and reporting systems
  • Programming languages SQL, Javascript, C/C++, Python, etc.
  • Data models, information systems, security and privacy
  • HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations (preferred)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Database Management, Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum three to five years field experience in IT/data system environment. Preference for experience working in a health care environment. Demonstrated expertise in database design and development, report writing, and report visualization.
