The Director of IT, Digital Marketing Execution is a key leadership role within the Human Health Customer Engagement – Digital Marketing & Channels IT leadership team. Digital Marketing Execution puts marketing strategies, plans, and content into action. Execution of campaigns can range from broadcasts to acquire new customers to very personalized campaigns targeted at a highly engaged, high value customer. Successful digital campaigns have the ability to increase our customer engagement index in mature markets who are using next best engagement strategies. Data from the campaigns needs to feed into our measurement solutions seamlessly to allow for insights and actions to be formulated. This is a product team that provides campaign management, marketing automation, omnichannel campaign orchestration, personalization, digital identity, and consent capabilities to our local and regional marketers and their partners. The leader will be responsible for product management, relationship management, subject matter expertise and business case development for the team. Success is highly dependent on the integration of products and services provided by all of the value teams, as well as, our marketing execution platform partners (i.e. Veeva, Sales Force, Akamai, Aktana, ZS, AWS etc).
We are looking for a strong leader who is collaborative, a self-starter, can take ownership/ accountability and drive results. This senior role will report into the HH CE-DMC Value Team Lead. You are comfortable with rapid transformation, handle ambiguity well and help others navigate it. You are a leader that will help shape the strategy and provide clarity to teams.
Product management for our marketing execution product and related capabilities. This will involve expertise in the capabilities, knowledge of market requirements, development of roadmaps, input to the value team investment portfolio, and communication of progress/risks to Value team for mitigation.
Drive thought leadership & innovation to support business value realization and position IT as a competitive advantage.
Lead cross market, cross value team, and cross enterprise collaboration to ensure alignment of business objectives and roadmaps for deployment of capabilities. This will include leading product ideation sessions, roadmap reviews and customer calls as needed. Collaborate with product management, value teams, and enterprise teams to understand company needs and devise possible solutions. Must have ability to drive standardization across markets to ensure scalability and long term maintenance.
Communicate results to collaborative project teams using data visualizations and presentations
Develop and maintain documentation using Atlassian Confluence and Jira to ensure that deployments & services can scale and are smoothly communicated to product teams and other value teams.
Work with product architects and other value team members to help shape all of the digital marketing capabilities that will drive business outcomes.
Work with global business partners to roll up information from local, regional, and global perspectives.
Create business friendly, use case driven scenarios for validating needs with business users.
Provide thought leadership in how to use capabilities to support digital campaigns that lead to business outcomes. Create supporting playbooks, training materials, and self service capabilities that enable more digital saavy marketing.
Collaborate with partners to investigate new capabilities and market adoption / maturity best practices.
Understand business needs and identify potential use cases in multiple markets. Work with external partners to develop a minimal viable product to meet those market’s needs where there is a pressing business problem but scarce resources, while resolving any issues that may arise.
Act as a great communicator, able to articulate complex concepts in easy to understand language to both technical and non technical audiences.
Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends. Mentor junior team members when needed.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Marketing, or related field
Required Experience and Skills:
8+ years of experience in Digital Marketing Execution Strategies with demonstrated success in building global product teams that can develop, enhance, maintain, deploy, and support the business needs in marketing execution.
Deep knowledge and technical proficiency with commercial and custom capabilities that support digital marketing execution (i.e. MDM solutions, Identity solutions, Veeva, Sales Force Solutions, Personalization, Next Best Engagement Solutions).
Excellent business and technical acumen in digital marketing solutions and omni-channel campaigns.
Knowledge of our markets, brands, campaign strategies, and industry best practices in marketing execution
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Master’s degree in Marketing, Information Science, Business Administration, Math, Computer Science or related field of study
Ten (10) years of experience
Demonstrable enthusiasm for development of capabilities in Marketing and sales in the Healthcare space.
Demonstrable skills in capturing innovative ideas and driving enhancement through collaborative agile product teams.
Ability and desire to work independently as part of remote, interdisciplinary teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
