Description

The Treasurers Department has a Director opening responsible for managing the Enterprise’s relationship with the Rating Agencies. This is a unique opportunity to oversee all activities designed to ensure the company’s ratings aspirations are met. This involves understanding Prudential’s businesses, strategies and financial results and communicating with the Rating Agencies so they can accurately assess the company’s credit worthiness.

There will be frequent opportunities to collaborate within the Treasurers Department and the broader Prudential community and gain exposure to senior management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Master the respective ratings criteria and methodologies and understand the drivers of Prudential’s business and financial profile metrics
  • Manage the rating agency relationships and interact on an ongoing basis with each Lead Analyst
  • Develop an understanding of Prudential’s key business goals and strategies, and communicate that clearly to the rating agencies
  • Support annual rating agency review meetings, quarterly pre-earnings calls, and ongoing topical meetings with the respective rating agencies
  • Ensure timely responses to ongoing and ad hoc requests from the Rating Agencies
  • Formulate presentations to be delivered by Senior Management (Chairman, Vice Chair, CFO, Treasurer)
Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of work experience in finance, accounting or treasury field preferred, including some management experience
  • MBA or CFA a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, Statutory and Corporate Finance concepts and how they apply to Prudential
  • Knowledge of Prudential’s businesses, products, and financial strength and how these compare to peers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with an ability to be productive independently
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
