TE Connectivity in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a Financial Analyst (Cost Estimator) to work on cost estimation for TE enterprises. Estimate required labor time to manufacture parts. Estimate labor and overhead cost to manufacture parts. Estimate material consumption to manufacture parts. Estimate material costs to manufacture parts. Estimate mold tooling costs to manufacture parts. Estimate assembly tools and assembly line costs to manufacture parts. Estimate product development costs to bring products to market. Prepare financial models to document projected and ongoing costs. Work cross-functionally with teams of engineers to determine the optimal product design and manufacturing process to meet customer requirements. Assist with Footprint and special projects on an as needed basis. Estimate costs at various manufacturing locations to determine the optimal manufacturing cost that are in alignment with the technical capabilities of the individual sites. Estimate investments for individual manufacturing sites. Work with plant engineering and finance colleagues to determine plant-specific engineering, capital, and labor needs to manufacture parts. Prepare financial models documenting costs at each location. Prepare cost estimates, capacity analysis, profit and loss statements for new and existing products. Provide analysis for global footprint decisions. Provide G3-G5 analysis. Support the PAC process. Work with other TE employees in multiple regions including North and South America, EMEA, and the Asian Pacific region. Prep product management and sales on specific TE processes and identify what info is TE proprietary information and what may be shared with customers. Advise senior management on estimated returns for investments in engineering and capital assets. Provide accurate and complete cost estimates delivered on time. Develop accurate and abundant documentation of costs assumptions from quote inception to production launch. Document the technical and cost aspects of quotes at each level of negotiation and/or design change. Update financial models for changes in scope from original estimates. Review product drawings and preliminary sample parts to verify costs. Audit products after production starts to confirm accuracy or original estimates. Establish Business Partner relationships with stakeholders. Participate in ongoing discussions with business partners. Position requires up to 15% of international and/or domestic travel.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a closely related procurement/cost estimation position.
Experience must include 1 year in the following: 1) SAP costing modules; 2) FACTON; 3) Molding; 4) Stamping; 5) Plating; 6) Connector Assembly; and 7) Cost Estimation. Position requires up to 15% of international and/or domestic travel.
