Job Description

Internship

opportunity

for industrial engineering student to work with Process Improvement

department on various process improvement projects within the organization.

The internship opportunity will work with the Director, and other process

improvement staff, by providing assistance to the organization and

stakeholders through the change process/projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION,

CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1.

Current student enrolled in an ABET

accredited Industrial Engineering program.

2.

Candidate must have completed IENG 200

and 220 or equivalent.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The

1.

Assists Process

Improvement department on various projects utilizing Industrial Engineering

tools & principles streamline workflow and ensure stakeholder and meeting

objectives are met.

2.

Utilization of

information systems to support process improvement and data analysis

3.

Work with the

Specialty Pharmacy department to participate and/or complete projects, drive

adoption of change, and improve efficiencies

4.

Participate in physician,

and other clinical staff, communications relative to project design,

measurement, analysis, and implement

5.

Participate on

project teams with responsibility for designing and implementing business,

operational, and clinical process improvement efforts

6.

Meet with department

leadership to understand and assess business/clinical/operational needs

7.

Interfacing with the

clinical, operational and financial enterprise throughout the department

8.

Participates in

documenting project deliverables such as: Project Charter, Process Flows,

Solutions, best practices/lessons learned in order to leverage on future

projects

9.

Participate in

process analysis, quality improvement projects, and measurement approach

SKILLS

AND ABILITIES:
1.

Excellent writing

skills are needed as well as the ability to make effective oral

presentations.

2.

Skills This

internship opportunity will require some familiarity with MS Office software

including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Outlook.

3.

Demonstrate

initiative and creative problem solving ability
