Facebook is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our Infrastructure Data Centers (IDC) Culture & Communications Team. This person will serve as a valued partner to our team to assist in the development of internal communications to help keep employees informed, inspired, and connected to the mission and our common values. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and support initiatives that will directly impact the people and company culture within IDC. You will be a key member of IDC’s internal communications team as well as a key partner to program managers supporting IDC.The ideal candidate will excel at working collaboratively with colleagues and consistently delivers high-quality work even under tight deadlines. Candidates should be strong communicators and creative thinkers. Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment, and organization skills are critical. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve.

  • Support the communications needs of program managers by authoring, editing, and/or distributing content
  • Influence and partner with cross-functional communicators across IDC to develop and execute proactive and strategic communication initiatives
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for outgoing communications distributed across IDC taking into consideration timing for maximum readership
  • Maintain IDC-wide communications calendar keeping track of what is distributed, when, and in what medium-responsible for monthly reporting of team output
  • Serve as Workplace administrator of IDC groups ensuring proper memberships are maintained
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and evolution of team wikis to ensure information is current, accurate, and relevant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to curate evergreen content that tells the IDC story from its early beginnings to now
  • Create tools and resources to help improve efficiencies across the team (e.g., style guide, communication templates, etc.)
  • Manage and grow image library ensuring proper tagging and filing within a digital asset manager

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years experience in corporate internal communications
  • Experience in developing and executing communication plans, managing cross-functional projects, and developing programming around multi-dimensional topics
  • Experience communicating to broad audiences using various channels
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in solving problems using judgment and analysis, providing communications guidance and support
