This is a contract-to-direct position with outstanding benefits. This position will likely be a remote position even after Covid precautions are lifted, but candidates need to be from the Kansas area or be willing to relocate since in-person attendance at quarterly meetings is required.

While work is currently fully remote, client prefers candidates that are local or willing to relocate as to be onsite once operations return to pre-COVID 19 status. Brief Description of Job Duties:
Incumbent will assist in database administration of the database environment. The scope of work will include installation, configuration, testing, debugging, documenting and maintenance of primarily Oracle Architecture. This position will work closely with functional end users and application developers to continually enhance this system. Incumbent will work with current staff to maintain and enhance an Oracle/APEX environment.
Server Platform: – hardware; system and utility software Oracle/Apex:
This position will configure and maintain Oracle database instances on Unix or Oracle servers, including disk space allocation, security, synchronization of multiple database instances, performance monitoring, and performance tuning. This position will be responsible for performing database backups and data recovery, configuring database user accounts, and will manage Unix files involved with database exports and imports.
- Debugging database programs or system software
- Performance analysis
Knowledge and ability to utilize the current version of the following products:
- Oracle Server environment (Solaris and Windows)
- Oracle Application Server – installation, maintenance, tuning, with cross-database integration
- Oracle Data Base administration – from 10g through current Oracle data base release configuration
