The role

The Key Account Manager is typically assigned mid-sized to large Institutional accounts and is responsible for client satisfaction, revenue growth, retention, multi-year strategy development and delivery and driving profitability. This role leads client and intermediary visits for investment reviews, plan design, and optimal plan usage across multiple plan types, and regularly participates in sales finals to create future business opportunity and growth. You would also proactively lead the service relationship across internal business units to anticipate and resolve complex issues. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing Institutional clients

  • Coordinate marketing, sales and support services for assigned Institutional accounts

  • Retain a solid understanding of assigned clients’ requirements and develop programs to meet these expectations

  • Possess excellent communications skills and a solid knowledge of Prudential’s products and services

  • Drives toward improving plan health through Prudential offerings, including investment management solutions and retirement product features

  • Independently partners with key business partners across Prudential

  • Manages sensitive issues and client service remediation

This specific position will be responsible for managing client relationships for an assigned book of clients in our Corporate & Healthcare markets.

Ideal locations for this position would be in the Southeast and Eastern part of cover clients in this region.


Your Expertise

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services is required

  • Obtain FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63. Life & Variable annuity licenses required within 90 days of hire

  • Intermediary relationship experience is required

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, organizational, problem solving, verbal and written communications, listening, and presentation skills

  • Expert knowledge of the retirement industry, relevant investment products, and competitive environment, including intermediaries

  • Proven track record of positive revenue, revenue growth, referenceable and health of client and intermediary relationships

  • Ability to consult on multiple product lines

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities or projects

  • Travel required: Up to 30%
