Job Description

Builds shelf units, cabinets and other furnishings for use throughout the facility. Performs renovation work to improve space for offices, storage and other departmental needs. Applies coatings and coverings to pieces of equipment, walls, floors, ceilings and trim. Builds forms and pours concrete. Performs minor calibrations and adjustments to equipment control set points so equipment can operate within design range. Services moving part and components as per manufacturers recommendations. May perform other tasks of minimal to moderate complexity involving electrical, plumbing, heating, welding, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and mechanical duties.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of two vocational training courses in related field or two years trade experience required. EPA Type I and Type II certification for handling refrigeration preferred. Must meet the requirements of the Johnson Memorial Health skill level assessment program. Current unrestricted Indiana Driver’s License required.
