As a maintenance person in our restaurant you will assist the management in providing the support necessary to keep our team in the game. Direct responsibilities include achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness and maintaining restaurant equipment. As a member of the Maintenance Team, we will support you with the tools and training needed to succeed at McDonald’s- the undisputed global leader of the food-service industry and more importantly, the leader in our community. As part of our maintenance team you will directly be responsible for providing the support to keep our engine running. Your shift begins early in the morning at 5:00 AM. General duties include (but not limited to) cleaning the exterior of the restaurant (parking lot, building, windows, sidewalks, etc.), bagging ice, taking trash to the dumpster, maintaining the stock room, cooler and freezer areas, stocking items frequently used by our crew members in the kitchen and drive-thru area, cleaning the interior of the restaurant, regularly washing and cleaning sidewalks and other high traffic areas, assisting with breakfast/lunch changeover, filtering and maintaining oil fryers, changing light bulbs as needed, cleaning and maintaining HVAC units and cleaning off roof debris.
A successful maintenance crew member is friendly, fast, flexible and service-minded. They are detail-oriented but a hustler that strives to meet the needs of the customers while supporting the crew in working towards shift goals set forth by the management.
The maintenance person must be at least 18 years of age. The maintenance person is expected to arrive on time and as scheduled with a positive attitude. The maintenance person is expected to look neat and professional in appearance (in accordance to the requirements set forth in our company handbook) and be professional in all of their dealings with customers, fellow crew, and management staff. Maintenance team members must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly, work from a ladder on occasion and always work with a safety-first mindset.
