The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducts State and local council elections and is responsible for promoting public awareness and understanding of electoral issues in the Victorian community.

About the role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO Manager), will lead the coordination, governance and implementation of the VEC’s major projects, driving a transformational vision through major investment in enterprise-wide strategies, tools and systems.
The PMO Manager will ensure the development of clear project plans in consultation with business stakeholders, embed consistent project management processes and lead on monitoring and reporting to senior management. The role will drive project management maturity across the organisation and be responsible for ensuring project health checks are complete for all major projects.
This is a newly created role.
What you’ll bring to the role
The successful applicant has extensive and strong technical capability in project management and has demonstrated experience as an effective leader. A professional change management qualification (e.g. ProSci) would be highly regarded.
Finally, as an organisation we have been able to swiftly respond to the COVID-19 situation with 95% of staff working remotely whilst continuing to be well resourced technically, safely and supportively. The successful candidate will need to be able to work remotely during this period.
