RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Your Impact:
As the leader of the Credit Card Business Controls team, you will be supporting business and process owners in managing their operational risk, and executing on the risk management frameworks set by the first-line Consumer Business Risk team. You will be playing a vital role in the first line of defense’s management of operational risk and business controls.

Responsibilities:

Designing and supporting implementation of controls mitigating recess and other operational risk

Monitoring and reporting on control issues in line with Business Risk-owned frameworks

Supporting control owners with the Cards control assessment as part of the Risk and Control Self Assessments(RCSA)

Develop and keep evergreen a Cards process inventory with a focus on high risk operational recesses

Execute on Business Risk issues management frameworks by supporting process owners in identifying control weaknesses and breaks and proposing mitigation plans, including design of new/enhanced key controls

Work with assurance functions to provide an objective assessment of the strength of the control environment

Skills and Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role you will be highly analytical with strong financial product acumen. You will also demonstrate:
  • 5+ years first-line experience, ideally in a business controls or related field, such as quality assurance, for credit cards or other consumer financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
  • Deep knowledge of control design and assessments (including Quality Assurance (QA) and RCSA) and issue management in a financial services environment
  • Experience working with various first-line functions, such as Product, Operations and first-line Risk, including Business Risk
  • Experience in credit card processes (card fulfillment, issuance, authorization, payments, collections) a plus
