Job Description

Your Responsibilities
Bilstein of America, a leader in the development and production of highly engineered shock absorbers for high performance vehicles, is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated, innovative and inspired individual to work with our Marketing Communication Specialist as a paid intern. In this role the successful candidate will work on challenging assignments where contribution, teamwork and communication are vital to the success of the organization. This position is open to current college/university students pursuing a degree in marketing or recent graduates that have received their degree in marketing and looking for an opportunity to gain experience and consideration for a full time position in marketing or sales. The assignments are project-oriented and meaningful to the Company. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment, contribution and experience the corporate business culture through work assignments and structured activities. In this role you will gain the communication and professional skills required in business while sharing knowledge gained from recent courses. This position, located at Bilstein’s North American Manufacturing Facility in Hamilton, Ohio, will be involved in the following: • Promote, enhance and implement a variety of marketing and communications programs and tools which may include: website updates, email marketing, social media, trade show design and materials, and/or sales presentations. • Supports North American Sales Department in responding to sales and marketing requests. Answers questions from Account Managers regarding available marketing tools (brochures, presentations, social media, etc.). • Assists in the coordination of events and activities including arranging setup/take down of booths or tents, managing freight of materials, coordinating schedules of managers and engineers to attend events, etc. Travels to various events, as needed. • In coordination with graphic designer, assists Marketing Communication Specialist in managing media schedules, advertising and promotions. • Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing projects. • Assist account managers in managing customer relationships through customer specific market research, helping resolving customer issues, assisting in customer events, and helping monitor customer satisfaction.

Your Profile
Degree Programs Considered: Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA Major Programs Typically Considered: Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations. Bilstein Internship Program criteria: • Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or a recent college graduate. • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred • Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 weeks or a maximum of 12 week commitment • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week • Willingness to learn from others on the job
