There are several types of Operations Program Manager roles. Below are descriptions of key roles that we are looking to fill. We make doing business with Microsoft easy.


Responsibilities


Launch Manager and/or Fulfillment:
The Planning & Launch team is responsible for the management of launches and projects across the portfolio, as well as translating business strategy into Product, Program and Pricing data published on Price Lists and used throughout Microsoft to ensure all products and offers are buildable, billable, and orderable for customers and partners worldwide. The ideal candidate is an effective collaborator who enjoys partnering with project teams to drive business value through new product offerings. You must be able to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously and propose tradeoffs to stakeholders to ensure appropriate launch priority given available capacity.
Operations Process Design:
As an Operations Process Architect, your job is to own the health, improvement, measurement, compliance, and automation of the processes and tools used by our stakeholders, customers and partners on a daily basis. You have deep passion for excellence in data, business process design and high-quality execution. You love the challenge of solving big, bold problems. You have helicopter thinking (big picture) but have an ability to go to ground level details. You are a meticulous process designer, knowing how to instrument processes and ensure quality in design, long before getting to launch.


Partner Business Management:
The Partner Business Management team is chartered with helping Microsoft become more proactive and efficient in landing operational change with our managed partners. The Partner Business team, inside Americas Operations Center area is the organization responsible for:
  • Enabling the partner ecosystem to transact in our new Go-To-Market motions
  • Providing Program & Policy subject matter expertise & influence future capability & design through insights
  • Developing readiness plans to be delivered through a community model, including adoption & usage of self-serve tools to consume content
  • Ensuring continuous improvement of partner operational excellence
  • Managing strategic partner key accounts to accelerate their transformation to Cloud


Sales Channel Go To Market (GTM) Planning:
  • First and foremost, if working with a Sales Organization and making it successful is something you are passionate about, this role might just be for you!
  • This role is for a Planner on the Inside Sales GTM team.
  • The Commercial Planning function sits on the Planning and Launch team within Business Operations and is responsible for the management and prioritization of investments and projects across the portfolio ensuring alignment to GTM strategies and priorities. Each GTM has one Portfolio Planner who plays a breadth role and several Portfolio PMs who play a depth role. We drive commercial Launch for the company and we take landing change seriously, but we have fun doing it!

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in Operations, Sales, Business, Program Management, or Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions.
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel to drive for results and solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to relate and communicate effectively at different levels, across different cultures.
  • Ability to identify and implement industry best practices to improve existing processes; demonstrable achievement within a results-driven, highly ambiguous and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in thought leadership and execution management; conflict/negotiation management; independent, flexible and proactive in your approach.
  • Launch management experience delivering results through cross-team collaboration. Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
  • Action oriented with the ability to react with appropriate urgency to escalations and situations that require a quick response.
