Security enginnering experience required. Understanding of
Palo Alto firewall security and data security.
Knowledge of Cisco Firepower threat protection and IDS/IPD. Strong written and verbal communication
skills. Ability to work in high demand
environment and complete work independently. Ability to work in a flexible work
environment on a global team. Problem-solving skills – this role requires much
problem-solving, since security engineers must be able to apply their technical
expertise across various client environments and solve any obstacles that
arise. Must be focused attention to
detail – as with most other jobs that involve working with technology, the
engineer must be meticulous and detail oriented, examining every aspect of the
system to guarantee security and spot bugs or anomalous activity while they’re
still minor. The engineer will need good
time management – it’s common to multitask, while debugging problems reported
by customers and coordinating with other team members.
Excellent understanding of data protection and Palo Alto
firewall security. Experience with cloud environments is desirable. Palo Alto firewall trouble shooting,
configurations and operations are the critical tasks for this role. Standards
and policies are extremely important when it comes to security, and the
security engineer should be aware of these, keeping abreast of changes and
defining processes for compliance. Project management experience is
desirable. Independently managing
multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Any of these professional certifications will
elevate your application for this role: CompTIA-CSA, CEH, GISF, GSIP, GCIA, GSEC
This Security engineer role provides the expertise and
knowledge required to support Security technologies and processes related to
protecting an enterprise through firewalls and data controls. Must have
the ability to install hardware, configure firewalls for usage, setup VPNs,
setup controls, manage their day-to-day
operations, and perform regular maintenance through upgrades and patches.
Ability to monitor security devices and applications for performance
problems and provide troubleshooting
support for clients; When issues arise, they must analyze the root cause and
resolve them promptly or else escalate them as needed. Have the ability to write extensive
documentation on procedures, device statuses, block lists, and other important
technical areas or create technical diagrams of the technical enviroment using
Visio to record details of troubleshooting, project controls, and operational processes. The Security engineer will design, build, and
manage the security infrastructure. Despite the strong technical focus of the
job, this security engineer will also engage with clients, relaying information
about the project and troubleshooting all issues discovered. They are
proficient in change management and disaster response, and they actively apply
policies and standards to all projects. The Security engineer may work shifts
at irregular hours to perform maintenance at unobtrusive times or resolve
critical issues as well as work with other technical engineers, DBAs, data
owners, application teams, and others in the Security stack to maintain a
positive security posture. Serve as an
SME for security guidance, firewall best practices, and data controls. Provide engineering, implementation and
support for security technologies.
