Job Description

The Performance Sr Business Analyst position falls into the Performance and Insights department for J.P. Morgan’s Asset Wealth Management’s Service Centers.

Our teams motto is \”What Gets Measured Gets Managed\” in that vein our core responsibilities are to provide a broad spectrum of services from database building and data mining, to process improvement implementation and cost analysis to J P Morgan’s operational support departments. We support three departments located across the United States and overseas.

As a new department we are creating a culture of data excellence by fostering collaboration and alignment of interest. We are looking for someone with a passion for data and creating efficient reporting for Sr. Leaders to easily digest and manage business activity. In the Performance and Insights team we believe that data integration should be built to help our partner departments make better decisions by providing the right data at the right time.

Job Responsibilities:
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.

Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.

Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Documenting and communicating the results of Performance and Insights efforts.

Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.

Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.

Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.

Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

Core Day to Day Functions:
Partner with supporting departments to align processes and procedures. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and plan for scale.

Deliver value by taking data, using it to answer questions, and communicate the results to help make business decisions

Liaisons with business groups to ensure reporting needs are met.

Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.

Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis or a related field.

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

Advanced technical skills.

Excellent documentation skills.

Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

A track record of following through on commitments.

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Experience leading and developing top performing teams.

A history of leading and supporting successful projects.

Preferred: Willingness to learn the Financial services industry including desire to acquire applicable industry licensing (FINRA Series 7, or 66 for example)JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
