Institutional Infrastructure Solutions (IIS) is a new business unit that provides world-class service to Morgan Stanley’s institutional clients including Multi-Family Offices and the Graystone business. IIS supports clients in partnership with Morgan Stanley’s Fund Services infrastructure, an outsourced Wealth Management OCIO, the client’s MS Financial Advisor, and WM Operations. IIS specifically supports all client service model execution processes including Client Onboarding and Maintenance, Money Movement, Asset Aggregation and Accounting, Billing, and Client/IO Reporting
The Portfolio Oversight and Reporting team is looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious and intellectually curious professional to join the team. The candidate plays a vital role in driving and improving analytics and operations for business considerations and client investment portfolios, including enhancing performance measurement and attribution capabilities. The candidate will additionally partner and collaborate across home office and advisory organizations, including prospect management, investment officers, manager research, oversight, operations and technology.

Primary Responsibilities:
‒ Serve as lead conduit between investment and service teams to ensure accurate and seamless implementation of client portfolios
‒ Understand and effectively utilize the group’s systems, infrastructure, platforms and business processes
‒ Maintain existing and onboard new client relationships through the processing of requests, resolving inquiries, and updating client information and documentation
‒ Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify Firm services and solutions that support clients’ needs
‒ Regularly seek opportunities to use firm resources for peer sharing and collaborating across the team
‒ Actively engage in available training and education programs to maintain current status on policies, procedures and risk awareness
‒ Interface and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including research, trading, operations, product specialists, third party vendors and custodians
‒ Utilize enterprise business management reports and dashboards
‒ Own and enhance workflows and solutions around risk management and portfolio implementation*LI-JG1


‒ Undergraduate degree in finance or applicable field
‒ 5-7+ years client service experience with of institutional and ultra-high net worth clients, investment or operations related experience within the Financial Services industry
‒ FINRA Series 7 and 66 is a plus (candidate will be expected to obtain these licenses within 3 months of hire date and additional licensing may be required)
‒ Experience and knowledge in global capital markets, with technical expertise across asset classes
‒ Detailed understanding of performance calculations, including measurement, attribution, and decomposition
‒ Experience and knowledge of wealth management platforms and vehicles, including managed account platforms, mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts, and alternative investments
‒ Firm understanding of portfolio management concepts including modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management and performance attribution
‒ Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to clearly define a problem, synthesize data to derive fact-based insights, and provide insightful and actionable recommendations
‒ Experience working with Bloomberg, Factset, complex datasets, relational databases, and statistical packages and programming languages including VBA, SQL, Python
‒ Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Access
‒ Strong organizational and project management skills
‒ Must be very detail-oriented, with an ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
‒ Ability to work independently and effectively on a team, with demonstrated leadership abilities
‒ Technical background with strong analytical and quantitative skills
