Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Graphic Artist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Mission Systems Operating Unit, supporting multiple programs, research and development projects, and business development to develop compelling graphics and demonstration videos for our customers. Candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio of previously completed work. Roles and Responsibilities: • Confer with client/project manager for project details regarding background information, project parameters and objectives, presentation approaches, styles, techniques, and other graphics related production factors. • Consult and brainstorm with staff to develop innovative ideas, concepts, solutions, and materials for print, web, and interactive media. • Transform stakeholders ideas into engaging visuals, products, and graphics to fully communicate campaigns and projects while adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring proper messaging is being executed in all products (web and print). • Develop creative and unique content in print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques. • Enhance the user’s website experience with media and/or graphic elements. Improve existing web pages and create new web pages content to communicate the customer’s messages and themes. • Create and oversee preparation of illustrative materials; including: iconography, infographics, drawings, and diagrams. • Create 3D models of systems with realistic textures • Edit videos to create creating and impressive demonstrations • Prepares, designs and publishes documents and media that are distributed to a large government, national and international user-base. • Manage multiple projects daily. Ensure project deadlines are met, manage expectations, and provide quality assurance.
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Minimum of 6 years work experience with a Bachelors Degree • Experienced in Photoshop, Solidworks (or similar CAD modeling), and video editing • Minimum of 3 year’s knowledge of the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign) • Demonstrated competencies in preparing, publication and producing dissemination for leadership, management, and diverse user groups. • 3d modeling and texturing of 3d models • An additional 4 will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • Domain knowledge of the Defense Industry • Experience in Marketing • Experience in Proposal Development • Position prefers a candidate with a current Top Secret Clearance
