Job Description

TE Connectivity’s Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.


What You Will Be Doing
  • Market Sensing & Strategy Development – Aerospace, Defense & Marine
  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Define segment –specific value propositions that beat the competition – Develop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy
  • Design go-to-market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
  • Work with R&D Engineering and Operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle

Develop Business Plans

  • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
  • Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
  • Establish pricing policy
  • Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)

Product Development & Launch

  • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
  • Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans.
  • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP.
  • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
  • Exercise thought leadership.
  • Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce.
  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio.
  • Deliver sustained profitable growth
  • Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
  • Manage special price requests
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
  • Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
What your background should look like:
  • 5+ years of product management experience. Electromechanical relay experience highly desired
  • Relevant Aerospace, Defense & Marine product or industry experience
  • 4-year business or technical degree required, Electrical Engineering and/or MBA preferred
  • Travel 25-30%

Product Manager, Allergan Data Labs

Allergan Data Labs is on a mission to transform the Allergan Aesthetics business at AbbVie, the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in the world.   • You’ve worked 2+ years as a Product Manager on a digital team.

  • You’re generally a clear and concise communicator and this extends to email, Slack, phone and video.
  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that customers will love.
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Experience launching multiple digital products.
  • An ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving.

We need a Product Manager (New Hardware) to join our team in vibrant St. John’s, NL.

What You Will Do:

  • Meet with customers directly and through customer facing teams to collect and analyse user feedback to shape new product ideas and user requirements.
  • While working within dynamic cross-functional teams, build and execute product roadmaps for new hardware products. You will maintain and prioritize product scope, create documentation for development, marketing and customer support teams, and review completed work providing continuous feedback.
  • Work closely with the engineering department, marketing/growth, customer support, and other departments to ensure successful delivery of products into the market. Principally, you will be responsible for creating story based documentation for development teams and supporting its execution.
  • Work with Project Manager to monitor and report on progress towards new product development.
  • Monitor smart home, home HVAC, and mobile device trends to identify and understand potential product and feature opportunities. Additionally, working with the product team, use these insights to steer product feature implementation and prioritization.
  • Work throughout the Mysa team in order to align prioritization, maximize resource utilization, and help ensure the development of products our customers will love.
  • Support the implementation of product and feature usage tracking and analyze patterns to identify new product feature opportunities and validate success of feature rollouts.

Who You Are:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Business discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a product management role (or equivalent). Preference will be given to those with experience building products that combine hardware and software elements.
  • Genuine and intense customer focus.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • You’re very familiar with consumer electronics, particularly smart home and voice assistant technology, HVAC systems including linear resistance heating, AC units, heat pumps, and fan coil, and consumer facing app development for iOS and Android.
  • You thrive on the challenge associated with converting broad customer feedback into detailed and prioritized product or feature requirements. You understand how to communicate in a detail oriented and technical way and quickly identify and think through the possible situations that might break a proposed solution.
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while executing methodically with high attention to detail, operational excellence and an ability to multitask.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams towards a measured outcome you’ve clearly described.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA, or equivalent in experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product development and in shipping quality products that had customer impact with evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience having shipped customer facing products that delivered business impact and customer satisfaction.
  • Passionate about working with other businesses and partners to solve their specific challenges while putting customer trust and experience first
  • Proven history of converting learnings from customer insights into tangible product features that customers love
  • Entrepreneurial instincts with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions
  • Ability to successfully work with cross range of teams including engineering, UX, legal, finance, sales and operations
  • Good understanding and working experience in technology development best practices (such as, Agile, etc.) and product management technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience presenting to senior executives.
