Production Supervisor-2nd shift
What makes a Great Production Supervisor?
You will supervise a Production team in a fast pace, secure, and deadline driven environment. You and your team will be supporting production for many of the largest financial institutions, loyalty programs and Card providers in their respective industries. In this hands-on supervisory role, you will oversee areas of production such as mail insertion and mail sorting based on USPS guidelines. You will also assist your team in continually enhancing production processes to ensure the delivery of world class service to our clients. Fiserv continuingly looks for ways to be the workplace that you can have fun in as well. Essential Job Responsibilities:
Vested with authority commensurate with the Supervisor level and in accordance with policies and accepted procedural practices, perform duties and supervise warehouse, card room, and/or vault activities. May participate in planning with management and to assist in determining the scope and objectives but sometimes work is already defined. Coordinates work to meet schedules and due dates; monitors progress and updates management; resolves day-to-day conflicts. Maintain close surveillance to assure scheduled work flow and best utilization of people, skills, equipment, methods, etc. Responsible for appropriate headcount, expenses, and overall operation in areas of assignment. Utilize trade journals, trade association business meetings and seminars to stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies. Incumbent is expected to be able to perform independent of further supervision/technical assistance except for difficult issues. Problem solving is a serious responsibility and requires research, investigation, inquiry, analysis, and evaluation. Spends the majority of time on the warehousing floor working with employees and resolving work issues. Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, and the use of hands to process work and use keyboard. May on occasion exert or lift up to 25 lbs. Successful performance requires good vision abilities including close vision. On-going travel required.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in industrial management or related is preferred. Minimum of 2 – 3 years of supervision or closely related experience in a production environment or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Need very good PC skills including outstanding Excel skills.
- Scheduling and planning skills
- Self-motivation to meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of production control technology and methodology
- Strong communication skills
- Strong coaching skills
- Professional manner
- Strong organizational skills and ability to stay in control while working in a continually changing, deadline driven work environment
- Strong PC skills
- 5+ years management experience
- Associates Degree or some college experience
- Solid understanding of warehousing technology and methodology.
