Amazon is seeking a Program Manager for our Prime Now (PN) 3P Whole Foods Market network. PN 3P offers ultrafast delivery and pickup service out of hundreds of stores worldwide, bringing local favorites to customers. In 2018, PN 3P started launching hundreds of Whole Foods Market stores on its platform and is planning to continue expansion in the coming years. With the rapid ramp-up from 10s to 100s of stores, PN 3P is challenged to re-evaluate its Labor Planning and Hiring strategy to optimize for quality as well as profitability.

A highly analytical candidate with project management experience is an ideal fit, as this role will require partnership with diverse operational and technical teams (Field Ops, Analytics/Reporting, HR, Business Development, Tech, Central Operations, Finance and other teams as applicable) to lead, influence and support business critical projects and initiatives. You will act as a key liaison to the field ops management team. Due to the nature of the business, you will also be expected to interact internally with senior-level audiences to provide updates and make strategic recommendations that will achieve the long-term vision for Prime Now at Whole Foods Market. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. This role is located in Seattle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the ins and outs of daily field operations pain points, and establishing excellent working relationships with field partners to identify solutions to current challenges and develop methods to prevent future roadblocks
  • Thinking creatively about how technology can enable a low overhead field management structure
  • Gathering and analyzing data to identify ways to free up bandwidth on field operations management team through process improvements, centralization, standardization, and any other means necessary
  • Driving innovation that improves the customer experience and continuously removes cost from our fulfilment network
  • Participating in cross-functional project teams to scope, design, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders that enable the launch of new projects and processes
  • Developing Amazon best practices for internal operations
