We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking.
We want to create a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday, local journeys; free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illnesses and social isolation. We want to achieve a better walking environment and to inspire people of all generations to enjoy the benefits the simple act of walking brings.
Join us and together we will create a walking nation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver our Cyfeillion Cerdded Cymru (Walking Friends Wales) project across south east Wales, our first major grant-funded project in Wales.
Passionate about getting more older people walking in their local streets and re-connecting with their community, you will lead on recruiting volunteers so that together you can deliver engagement events, led walks and community street audits with small groups of people over the age of 50, empowering them to take action on the issues that prevent them from walking more.
This is an exciting time to join Living Streets as we grow our presence in Wales and you will have some great opportunities to network, represent us at events and share case studies of our work with older people in Wales.
Living Streets is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk; and expects all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be subject to background and criminal records checks as relevant to the job role.
We request no contact from agencies or media sales, applicants are advised to apply directly using the links below.
When applying please ensure that your application is submitted in word format and not PDF format.
