What you’ll be doing…

You will be trusted by leadership to make day-to-day decisions for work stream and build excitement for new processes/new solutions with key stakeholders. You will have decision making authority and act as a point of contact for projects within payroll, specifically regarding Workday. You will interact with other VZ SMEs and leadership.

• Develops new solutions to complex problems in the business.
• Analyzes situations or data requires advanced skills within a professional discipline, an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and the frequency use of creativity.
• Makes independent decisions with a significant impact to the business.
• Exercises judgment in developing new work methods with accountability for project or program results.
• Delegates work to lower-banded team members both within the immediate team and the broader payroll organization.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of required compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements governing functional tasks and activities.
• Experience with Payroll, Time and Labor applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

• Master’s degree.
• Certified Payroll Professional certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and Executive leadership.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Workday.
