What you’ll be doing…
You will be trusted by leadership to make day-to-day decisions for work stream and build excitement for new processes/new solutions with key stakeholders. You will have decision making authority and act as a point of contact for projects within payroll, specifically regarding Workday. You will interact with other VZ SMEs and leadership.
- Develops new solutions to complex problems in the business.
- Analyzes situations or data requires advanced skills within a professional discipline, an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and the frequency use of creativity.
- Makes independent decisions with a significant impact to the business.
- Exercises judgment in developing new work methods with accountability for project or program results.
- Delegates work to lower-banded team members both within the immediate team and the broader payroll organization.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of required compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements governing functional tasks and activities.
- Experience with Payroll, Time and Labor applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Even better if you have:
- Master’s degree.
- Certified Payroll Professional certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and Executive leadership.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Workday.
