How you will do it
Provide commercial, competitive and technical application support to the field sales organization on all aspects of Custom and Standard Air Handling Units with minimal consultative direction.
Support Customer Visits (factory tours) as necessary.
Work with the Field Sales organization, manufacturing, engineering, and Customer Service to resolve Air Handling Unit order issues.
Develop technical documents to support field sales on various areas of air handling application as necessary.
Determine best techniques/procedures/theories and apply them to analysis, design and/or research of air handling products.
Use complex problem-solving techniques requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Review and analyze engineering rules and documents as necessary.
Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives for Air Handling Units and systems.
Provide technical direction for other engineers, drafters or technicians on specific work assignments.
Be proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support Custom and Standard Air Handling products.
Be proficient and extrapolating ideas into product requirements and apply the philosophy of concurrent engineering with manufacturing process.
Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.
Maintain report of daily regional sales activities in the forecasting tools and send out weekly updates.
Provide Specification compliance review to the field to include in submittals.
Work with factory Application Engineers on projects and keep track of all the changes required. Participate in hand-off meeting with the parties and write minutes of meeting.
Actively manages project turnover process between equipment sales and equipment order execution.
Interprets engineering drawings and specifications in order to develop and provide engineered equipment submittals in compliance with; contract drawing, site coordination, and site installation requirements.
Follows standardized submittal generation guidelines for preparation and processing of engineering submittals and option selection so as to match schedule, drawing and specification requirements.
- Engineering degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus one to three years related work experience, or minimum 3 years related work experience in HVAC equipment or similar field.
- Excel and Visio) Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a large and diverse number of projects with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence.
