Job Description Summary
The Solutions Engineer supports the pre-sales process for our software solutions compliance sales team for customers who require business software solutions. Activities of this position include: building relationships with potential customers, current customers and sales partners, deliver presentations and demonstrations to articulate features and differentiators of all Solutions software products, understand a prospect’s needs and architect solutions for them, write proposals and strategize with Sales Account Specialists to drive sales, configure/customize demo solutions at customer locations. Candidates must have presentation, excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, and have enterprise software pre-sales experience.
  • Conduct discovery calls and qualify prospects with Account Sales Specialists.
  • Strategize with Account Sales Specialists to drive sales of Solutions offerings.
  • Draft and deliver targeted Software and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Clearly articulate features and differentiate Solutions product offerings to audiences ranging from CO’s to engineers to convince about Solutions technological superiority.
  • Develop relationships with prospects, customers, and sales teams.
  • Be a team player communicating with colleagues and other department members.
  • Improve customer’s business workflow by use of business software offerings.
  • Install, design, and configure highly customizable software to meet customer’s specifications.
  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers.
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.

H1 is continuing to experience an unprecedented level of growth and as a result we are looking to grow our Sales team!
The Sales Engineer role is a unique hybrid of sales, consulting, training, and technical account management responsibilities. It requires understanding clients/prospects’ business goals and tailoring H1’s technology to achieve those goals. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems while working with some of the biggest names in healthcare.
This is not a “behind the scenes” role. Once you are trained on our platform and tools, you will quickly start working directly on client/prospects pursuits and with our cross-functional teams. You will be involved in the full pre-sales cycle, serving as the product subject matter expert and working directly with the Account Executives on the Sales team.
You will also own the platform onboarding process for new hires on the Sales team by building upon and owning our curriculum to ensure new employees are trained properly on our application.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert throughout the sales process
  • Work with Sales Executives to create a win strategy for each customer pursuit by understanding our clients, and prospective clients’, pain points and demonstrate how our platform will meet their needs
  • Assist in client presentations by providing the platform demonstration and answer technical questions related to functionality, capabilities, and data
  • Liaise with the Product team to communicate feature requests and understand how upcoming features will be added to the development roadmap
  • Communicate and demonstrate upcoming new features to the Sales team
  • Refine and own the Sales team’s onboarding curriculum related to the platform
  • Provide new hire platform training sessions for Sales team new hires

Qualifications
  • At least 2-3 years as a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Data Engineer or related field in the SaaS and/or enterprise software industry
  • Able to clearly and concisely articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users (Proactively connecting the dots for our prospects/clients)
  • Strong attention to detail and delivery of high-quality results
  • Proficiency in SQL, REST APIs, BI tools, Excel
  • Familiarity with Spark, Scala or Python
  • Thrive in a fast paced, innovative work environment
