As a key member of the Commercial Controller team, this position will provide critical financial insight and strategic support to drive P&L management, operational improvement and support corporate requirements. This is an integral role, this person will possess the technical expertise to identify inefficiencies as well as opportunities while thinking strategically and working well cross-functionally to improve product margin.
This position is based out of San Jose, CA and collaborates with functional leads and corporate colleagues to drive action plans with emphasis on process excellence, analytical insights and margin improvement. Also be a specialist in revenue analytics, operational improvement, designing reporting (using tools such as Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning) and providing recommendation.

Owner of top line (revenue/cogs/bookings) submission, P&L planning and lead the analytical effort to identify key drivers.
Be part of the team to develop business acumen and analytical insight; assist senior management proactively develop P&L margin improvement.
This is a “hands-on” position with regular reporting activities as well as provide appropriate reporting and analysis including key financial metrics
Be the finance business partner with functional leads to understand business drivers, support to drive profitability, and P&L management.
Develop and manage financial models to drive revenue growth and improve margin.
Ability to collaborate with regional colleagues to develop standard methodology across P&L management.
Strong analytical ability to identify variations and trends, ability to dig-in to details and summarize business outcomes.
Highly responsive with sense of urgency to provide high quality, accurate results under tight time pressure.
Adhere to a regular cadence with Finance Leaders to review monthly actuals, analyzing forecast variance, identifying trends and providing recommendations to drive forecast execution and accuracy.
Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or relevant field required
10+ years of business finance experience
Prior Business Unit and P&L management experience.
Proven track record to build and maintain models and generate key insights
Strong analytical, business partnering and data mining skills
Experience with working in a fast-paced environment, ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs
Knowledge of financial and statistical modeling techniques
A proactive, independent self-starter approach, with passion for teamwork and collaboration
Ability to dig into detail as needed while at the same time be able to rise up above the weeds, always keeping in mind the bigger picture
Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables and function formulas
Experienced with Oracle plus, and strong HFM experience preferred
Strong planning, organization, project leadership skills and the ability thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communications and ability to engage individuals at all levels of the organization Preferred qualifications:
