Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented and technical Senior Developer to join the Personalized Investing team to build customer facing interactive web applications. This position will be part of Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS) Technology at Schwab, focused on delivering innovative, personalized investing tools to all Schwab clients. We are looking for an engineer to help us continue to build and grow our Personalized Investing platforms.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Required: 5+ years developing complex web applications in HTML5, Angular 2+ or React, JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Backend experience building software in object oriented languages such as Java, C#, etc.
  • Experience with API development using RESTful services and JSON
  • Experience working in Agile teams; preferably in small teams, using JIRA/Bitbucket/Bamboo or similar tools.
  • Experience working with a relational or NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB
  • Experience in Asset Management software such as Charles River (CRD), Aladdin (Blackrock), Perform (Investec), Bloomberg API, etc. is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be a critical thinker and solutions-oriented.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must be able to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers and leaders.

TITLE: Senior Front End Developer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America – Newark, NJ)

DUTIES: Use responsive web design to prototype rapidly and turn concepts into reality. Work with programming frameworks like Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS in order to adapt the changing design frameworks and design principles. Collaborate with product management, marketing, designers, and technology and architecture teams when working on business initiatives. Integrate backend systems with web applications and prepare designs for relevant modules. Understand responsive web development, can prototype rapidly, and turn concepts to real life. Collaborate with product management, marketing, designers, and technology and architecture teams. Work in a rapid pace environment with ability to juggle multiple projects.


REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered as a Senior Front End Developer, Software Developer, or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Agile; Kanban; HTML5; CSS3; SAAS; SCSS; Object Oriented JavaScript; Closure; jQuery; Web Accessibility; Bower; Grunt; Gulp; Webpack; Karma; Angular; ES6; RxJS; Typescript; Bootstrap; Jasmine; Oracle RDBMS; MySQL; PL SQL; NodeJS; Express; C#; Entity Framework; WCM; AEM (Adobe Experience Manager); Git; SVN; Sublime; Brackets; Intellij IDEA; and WebStorm.
