Job Description

Your Opportunity:
The Senior Team Manager – Conversion will lead a team of individuals whose primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) asset transfer, plan setup, data loading, existing plan feature changes and the subsequent quality assurance review of these items.
Conversions include Merger & Acquisition activity as well as new business to Schwab. For each conversion the Specialist works within a team of Implementation Managers, Payroll Specialists, Conversion Managers, and Quality Assurance Specialists who combine their skills to successfully convert new business to Schwab systems within client expectation and departmental standards.


Working relationships:

This position is primarily composed of leading a group of individuals that perform back office plan and participant setup responsibilities. The Senior Team Manager – Conversion will work closely with the Implementation leadership team, Client Services team members and other groups within WFS-RPS to continue to drive initiatives and help the team members grow professionally!

What you are good at:


Leadership

  • Manage a team within Implementation that is responsible for components of a conversion or updating an existing plan with the subsequent QA oversight.
  • Help lead our offshore engagement for processes that are handled outside of the Implementation Specialist role.
  • Help to identify new leaders within the team and nurture them into the next generation of leaders.
  • Conduct a weekly plan strategy meeting to supervise upcoming conversion activity.


Problem Solving and Planning

  • Participate in special projects as new features are introduced.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of conversion processing procedures.
  • Participate in regression testing activities as requested.
  • Respond to research requests from internal partners on prior conversion activity.
  • Develop solutions with business partners for workarounds to outstanding situations.


Key measures and targets

  • Help the team decrease the number of Quality Assurance errors discovered during the conversion process.
  • Identify & supervise the number of new/expanded offshore processes and determine how many onshore hours saved.
  • Track growth of individuals from specialists to managers.
  • Peer review feedback.
  • Annual employee engagement survey.

What you have:

  • Prior people leadership a plus, but not required.
  • In-house record-keeping platform system knowledge.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong customer-orientation, including ability to think in terms of the customer’s perspective and expectation.
  • High level of organization and follow-up capabilities
  • Calm approach to high pressure situations, and the ability to multi-task contending priorities.
