  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate and/or search firm experience including passive candidate generation and full life cycle recruiting.
  • Experience with a building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research.
  • CTS/ATS experience with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates.
  • MS Office- including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

We are looking for a Sr. Research Recruiter to join our Principal Engineer Recruiting Team.This a centralized organization that has the opportunity to work across all of Amazon’s businesses and impact each senior leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to join a team and utilize tools, resources, and best practices from the Principal Engineering Team and apply it to high volume SDE hiring for our Recruiting Engine team.

Successful Recruiters on this team utilize their experience in creating robust hiring and candidate development strategies. They are responsible for setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics, and prioritizing to hit customer SLAs. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Build effective sourcing and assessment approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
  • Serve as an expert for technology recruiting, including work on continuous company and talent mapping in key tech areas for the company.
  • Develop prospects into candidates, engaging them, and performing assessment/screening.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon’s mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
  • Continuously contribute to the knowledge base between teams and Amazon, as a while, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools/profiles.
  • Build out talent networks in technology and product sectors and sharing on-going pool of candidates across teams.
  • Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate and/or search firm experience including passive candidate generation and full life cycle recruiting, with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in a high tech market.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders with data.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
