In this exciting role as a Senior Business Process Management Specialist you will have responsibility for leadership of the Quality Metrics for operations for our site and play an integral role in the Change Management Process for the Medtronic Tempe, AZ Campus. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements for change management by providing guidance and oversight to the Tempe, AZ Campus.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and functions include Quality, Operations, Planning, and other functional management as required.
  • Reviews status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and functional goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate and manage metrics (including yields) across site – including the development, communication and tracking (including generating quality records (where applicable) of them in alignment with the Business Unit and the Tempe Campus.
  • Support audit / inspection as an SME for Change management process
  • Perform quality review of change documentation and work with initiator to develop quality records in alignment with the Change Management process
  • Ensure the liaison role with Legal Manufacture Regulatory, Design and Reliability functions across sites and Business Units with customers in connection to notification activities
  • Provide support / training for site change initiators to facilitate the change process understanding
  • Ensure Quality and Regulatory dimensions are maintained in the Change management process as per applicable requirements / standards.
  • Drive performance of the Change management process by means of monitoring (KPIs), continuous process improvement and users training.
  • The position is expected to identify and make improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements
  • Communicates with senior internal and external customers including the exchanging information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements (To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.)

Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of experience in regulated environment and/or project management OR Advanced Degree with 2 years of experience in regulated environment and/or project management.
Nice to Have
  • Medical device industry experience including knowledge of FDA regulations (21 CFR 820), ISO 13485
  • Experience with quality tools and process improvement techniques
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Independent compliance decision maker (based on knowledge of regulations, available relevant information, alternatives, risk)
  • Influence management skills; ability to work constructively across all functions of the organization and build relationships
  • Strong technical writing and documentation review skills
  • Ability to critically review and provide constructive feedback to improve quality records
  • Basic project management skills (planning and estimating phases, work and task breakdown structures, set milestones, remove barriers to meet milestones)
