  • 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in Business Planning, Operations, Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales Engagement and Productivity Solutions team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced leader and manager.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves, learn the technical solutions and understand the addressable market, and work directly with the models/data to discern strategic insights. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He/she will be experienced at working with business process optimization and identifying opportunities to develop new products and processes. He/she will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal parties. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Marketing will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

In this role, with your passion for delivering business value through innovating in operational processes, you will design new mechanisms and identify opportunities for optimization through new software products. In this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, and have the ability to work well with internal stakeholders, peers, and our product organization.

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in Operations, Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields
  • Proven experience with the development and implementation of business processes for contract management, CRM, sales operations, etc.
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
  • Strong business-process design experience
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Experience rapidly growing an organization and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Experience leading the development of department strategy
  • Deep experience in prioritization of deliverables and tasks
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
