Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Industrial Security Analyst to support our Monterey, CA facilities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
The following describes the ideal candidate for this role:
Candidate must be able to contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings with program management and government customers. Candidate must be a self-starter and perform independently without appreciable direction from security management while exerciting considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Candidate must have 10 years of Facility Security Officer or Alternate Facility Security Officer experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree (14 years of experience total accepted in lieu of a degree)
- Candidate must have a thorough understanding of the applicable governing document guidances with heavy emphasis of the DoD 5220.22-M National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an active US Government Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree preferred
