Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Sustainment Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
What You’ll get to Do:
The position requires a strong sustainment background with the ability to perform planning, implementation, and tracking of logistics activities with extensive experience in supply systems and procedures. The candidate will perform activities such as reconciling trouble ticket and service request data across multiple sites, establishing maintenance procedures; processing RMAs; evaluating systems spares posture and identifying discrepancies, analyzing failure trends, and evaluating current sustainment processes and recommending improvements. This position requires coordinating closely across functional areas on the National Team, as well as the government counterparts at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of DoD Command and Control, C4I, or weapon systems deployment and logistics/sustainment processes. Candidates are subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Recent experience creating or resolving trouble tickets, service requests, and work orders for a large networked computer system. Recent experience working a variety of sustainment/logistics topics such as sparing analysis, sustainment process updates, creating logistics support plans, etc. Understanding the unique nature of supporting remote sites and deployable assets management is required. Experience with direct vendor interaction for Return Material Authorizations. Experience with Juniper Hardware maintenance is desired. Root cause analysis facilitation experience is a plus.
Occasional travel might be required for this position including support to Schriever AFB.
- An active Secret clearance is required.
- 10 Years with Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field; 14 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
- Recent experience creating or resolving trouble tickets, service requests, and work orders for a large networked computer system.
- Recent experience working a variety of sustainment/logistics topics such as sparing analysis, sustainment process updates, creating logistics support plans, etc.
- Self-starter, demonstrated interpersonal communications skills, able to work with minimal supervision, ability to multi-task, experience with fielding to international sites.
- This position requires the determination of detailed requirements for all logistics elements to include manpower, facilities, equipment and supplies (to include the procurement, storage, maintenance and utilization of material).
- Hands on experience with DoD logistics processes
- Agile methodologies experience
