Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Institutional Securities Technology in New York, New York
Deliver increased automation to trading desks and expand electronic trading capabilities into new business areas. Gather requirements for Fixed Income trading solutions that need to be developed. Design core framework. Conduct the business analysis of the trade lifecycle for Fixed Income products. Develop and deploy software. Advise on technologies, build, and cost-benefit analysis. Build, deploy, test, release, document and support applications developed.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an Associate, Software Developer, or related occupation in the technology field. The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in any field and seven (7) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Core Java; J2EE; Python; Scala; JDBC; JNDI; RMI; JMS; Java Web Services (including REST or SOAP); JAXB; WSDL; XML; XPath; XQuery; XML Parsing with SAX or DOM; Open source technologies including Spring, Hibernate, Google Protobuf, JSON, Apache Commons, and Google Guava; messaging application including Tibco or IBM MQ; Sybase; and Oracle database. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Perl or Shell scripting language; GIT; Gradle; Ant; Jenkins; Atlassian Stash; and Hudson.
